It’s just hearsay at this point, but lots of rumors going around that people supporting USCAN will be asked to relocate from Milwaukee to Chicago. Lots of upset employees and little answers from management.

What day is the official email regarding the reduction and timeline from HR supposed to be sent out ?
Have received an HR email yet ?
or just speak from manager?
Most recent poster: what team are you in?
My team was just told about the move. We have to decide by February. If we want to love, have to move by August. If we say no, we have jobs until August where we’ll be let go.
When it going down?
Just rumors until someone see the action..
Kulp is gonna rebuild GE and he needs to keep people, cutting people wont fix the issues, it will just buy better numbers for the bad accounting methods GE likes to use. Maybe its all just a rumor.
I'd go if they would package me out if it helps .
If its more than a rumor, then the action will happen soon ???
RP is Research Park in Milwaukee
What does RP mean, is that a location ?
Will RIF hit the field service engineers ?
Matt Silva when are you resigning. Stand up for something
If you roll up under USCAN, then yes you’ll most likely be moving to Chicago. If you roll up under a global team, you’ll most likely be staying at RP.
From a bunch of people I've heard consistent rumors about a large RIF followed by restructuring , and yes, in the THOUSANDS
There are a couple thousand people working in RP. You talking about that entire population?
Confirmed by multiple teams in Wauwatosa.
This can’t be real.
They can add more levels of management to turn spreadsheet columns from red to green !
Don't be surprised..
Relocating exec's should save GE Healthcare ?
Brilliant !
What else can they think of ?
All confirmed: Execs have 1 year to move with full relo package. Everyone else...2 months to decide and be in a region base by Aug/Sept. No wage adjustment or relocation assistance.
Does this really change anything ?
The move to Chicago (and to the 5 new divisions/regions) is all but confirmed. HR has been working on this project for over a year with outside consultants because they want to retain and attract top talent, which is something they feel they cannot do in Milwaukee. The news wasn’t supposed to be delivered to employees until mid-January, but someone in Ultrasound leaked to news forcing some management teams to confirm with their teams that the move is happening (I.e comm ops, contracting, and pricing). Specifics of the terms include that GEHC will not offer relocation or market based salary adjustments. You have until early February to provide a yes/no decision and then can stay around until September if you will not be relocating. HR is expecting <20% of the employee population to relocate, which basically means they were expecting no one to stick around.
I heard tower was moving to the mother-ship off I94
