John Stankey, AT&T said of cost cutting “no place is safe”, he is looking at labor and benefits to cut. CWA represents 40% of AT&T employees. Their response was the company promised to add more jobs after saving millions because of the corporate tax cut. CWA 1298 represents Frontier employees in Connecticut, formerAT&T employees. The union recently ratified a new contract that didn’t include retiree health care because Frontier couldn’t afford it. Days later “no place is safe at AT&T”. President Shelton take note.

As predicted, AT&T announced employees retiring after January 2021 will no longer be allowed the company allotment when the retiree becomes Medicare age. Just the beginning. Good thing the CWA will be there to monitor the situation.

AT&T also has a massive debt load. They are trying to manage it rather than turn into frontier.....the company has no obligation to employees. The obligation is to the stock holder.
