Based on these message boards, I was able to leave and secure a better position before the last wave. A huge thank you to the people that posted about the November and December waves back in September. My former team all but 2 were laid off on 11/20. I have now heard of three directors being laid off since then. I'm sad for those still left at Optum. They are living in fear and working with a skeleton crew.

True. Unless you have absolutely no skills to offer, folks often do much better leaving UHG than staying. I've seen this opp over and over with others, and now it's finally my turn to benefit and my job hunt time is paid in advance to boot. Ditto about the early warnings–this site is great.
