14 people were let go at stac, including one supervisor. Some employees had 20 to 5 years with Sears and less than one year with transform company!

@kzc Merry Christmas! I am not out of line. Was wondering which stores (in addition to the ones previously announced) were closing, that's all. Sheesh.
@rxj STAC is the technical assistance department. when the technicians need help making a repair they call stac and get that help. when they tech managers cant help them or wont answer they phone, the tech calls stac and gets some guidance.
stac usually is the catch all for every other department when they dont know what to tell someone, they just transfer them off to stac. basically, stac is the technical help for the field because tech managers anymore are just pencil pushers with no technical experience or background.
stac has been chipped away over the last several years and it shows. once they brought in the reject from Dell (the british man) its not been the same same. the people at HE are completely ignorant of how much of an asset stac really is and it shows every time one of those guys ends up leaving.
Home Services is falling apart because HE doesnt know the first thing about service and repair work.
@rbv This is a layoff site (ALL layoffs), not just the narrow-minded piece you are only interested in. You are the one out of line here. Need more compassion for others and please at least try to have a Merry Christmas.
Um, so again, how does this (or does it even) translate to store closings?

blindsided 1 whole group and a good part of a different group. also a supervisor was cut. but they still have the supervisor that doesnt do anything out there. i guess he stayed hidden when the hatchet was swinging.
