Rezi is a Do It for Me in a DIY market. Betamax machines were better quality, but the mass consumer market preferred VHS. And all succumbed to DVD, DVR, and streaming.
Unless the leaders let go of their precious products and industrial mindset, look for Rezi with dust in pawn shops.

Shh. Kraft-y genius is busy creating fake business models in excel to impress Don NDM and Moobs.
@5vme
Maybe ask the Kraft-y genius that pushed for crazy directions in hardware and software....
Incompetence at best....
I don't think the Do It For Me idea is completely wrong, but the way that it was put together is ridiculous. There is a segment of the market that wants and will pay to have it done for them, but there is also a big (and growing) part of the market that wants DIY. The geniuses that built the strategy and pushed for some terrible acquisitions apparently don't understand the consumer or the professional channel. If installing a complete system requires technicians from multiple trades (security tech, plumber, electrician etc...), who is going to coordinate that and who is going to sell the complete package? There was a time that the people running this business knew the customers and made informed decisions on what the market needed and wanted. Unfortunately for us, those days are gone and we are forced to be led by incompetent leaders or go find something else. That might seem like the best option for some of the new people, but some of us have spent our careers helping build this business and we don't have many options. Apparently our chairman of the board forgot his roots.
Do it for me is also very price sensitive while we are in many case more expensive than do it yourself... so we have decided to compete against the low end of the price range... how well as that worked? And the fellows who invent storm and other c-ap are not really good anymore... they were good once (but should retire) ... and that what is rezi... good once but time passed us by as we played xboxes....driven by incompetent management by the former CTO and his cronies (and the torch vacuum suction pump )
Chairman of the board should can some gamers from the board and start cleaning all the losers and 2 faced people promoted within the last 12 months.
Bunch of people got promoted by former CTO they need to go as well as the recent ones. You can’t change unless you change the mix up. If the board doesn’t change that means that there is a deeper incompetence
If you have a CEO that specializes in refilling ink cartridges for printers ( not really high tech isn’t?) as a business strategy and a board that is made of small time gamers ( small in the sense of not being dealing larger Corp) you would just do what you know which is not going to work... I guess once the lawsuits start smelling in on that...
pkl - Spot on! A huge strategic mistake for Rezi. The reason they are doing this is because registrations dont work and its a c-ap shoot if you get a new product to actually work. They surrendered in the DIY war and realize they lost. They just think they have everyone fooled the "Pro installer" is better. Its 2020 FF....
I agree, nothing working right and no prspects for anything to turn around. Moobs and herman D German and team too busy talking a good game to actually fix or release anything. I agree with former CTO cronies (like Herman D.) but I think the new gamer crew is even more dangerous. All talk...no action and not even exereince in this space. Can resight Agile framerowks and CI/CD they googled like its nobodys business.
What you are pointing to is poor marketing who thrived years ago on installer (pro) and think that people would pay to get sh– installed. Maybe some but what’s the number of people that want to have a stranger in the house for everything? So strategic error of rezi.
Then we can’t get the architecture of anything right , and then we can’t execute any software development right even as we pay newbies band 3 in Austin close to 200K to just behave like brats...
And let’s not forget the incompetent management that thrived under the former CTO and still manage to thrive after the regime change. What does that tell you?
kK3n - Exactly! We are already seeing dust on the garbage we sell. except they are gathering dust at the garbage dump since no one would sell them in a pawn shop.
There is a reason we are a do it for me. We cannot make products that register properly, we dont make platforms that are stable or scalable or can stay up for any period of time and we can't write software worth a Cr@p. Because of the complexity and stability issues the only way to get them working is if you have a trained id10t who gets paid to be on a call with customer service for 10 hours to come and do it. Who is going to take time off and be stuck in the house while some stranger installs something that I could go buy from another competitor that's better, has better features, is stable and I can install in 30 minutes or less.
