The thing with VL was that he stated on several occasions that you should leave if you didn't want to work here. During that time, the best of the best were let out the door. Sorry, can't forgive him on that. And from what I saw was an institutional effort to get rid of all key personnel. Who was he listening to? Certainly wasn't customers, and certainly wasn't employees who built the company. This is a board level issue - we needed to move away from MK, DM and others, but their guesses were way off base. Bain consulting should be also bear the brunt of this.

I do not consider myself a visionary, but I did not like VL since he stepped down from the board to run TD. His first year was “somehow” Ok, but he speed up the sinking of TD boat. I’m happy that I left on time. I’m sure that I was not gonna enjoy TD since 2017 and I was right. My best for those trying to survive, but I’m sorry to tell that the future of the company doesn’t looks good, not even with a miracle...

No, Oliver didn't get played. Teradata's employees got played.

In this age or prevalent victimization - don't make OR out to be some victim. He was WAY over his head in Engineering and as a wanna-be CEO. He brought it on himself and (unfortunately) the company and its employees. The Board and senior management should be ashamed of how they've run a once great company into the ground.

Vic and the board knew what they were getting with OR so giving him the boot so quickly is suspicious. Perhaps they decided they want to sell the company and OR stood in the way of that. Vic also expicitly said the company isn't for sale which was kind of suspicious and probably means the opposite is true.

Not all OR's fault. Problems started before...
