Dfa canceled belvidere tour today. very interesting
It doesn't matter who comes to your plant.when we were for sale before bankruptcy people came.they know what we have and in the end it all goes to the highest bidder at market value with approval of the DIP'S.if you did your homework and kept up with filings you would see there are committee's overseeing every move.
Rumor has DFA in Lansdale Pa. Monday or Tuesday
Belvidere il for both
Provide locations please. Where did the private equity firm show up to tour? Where is DFA showing up on MOnday?
Rumor I've been hearing is the sale of the ice cream division will probably be before anything else and isn't DFA looking at them
Dfa to show up here Monday
Private equity firm better than no buyer at all, but not by much. And better hope if private equity firm buys, they buy multiple plants. Multiple plants best way to show a profit and private equity firms have a very low tolerance for losses. A couple of losing quarters and they'll close shop quickly with little or no notice.
That dont sounds like a good thing
Who was there?? Private Equity potential buyers, same folks who’ve been touring other plants.
Kept a BIG SECRET. unusual for sure
So who visited Belvidere?
Belvidere ice cream plant to have big shots showing place around tomorrow to potential buyer ? Not DFA SOMEONE ELSE
Only news out of the last creditors meeting (which was via phone where the next one will be in person) was some stockholders whining and wanting a bigger seat at the table. Don't expect much difference at the next one.
Town Hall meeting interesting. Likely either means that something will come out at the hearing the day before and the Company wants to spin it or else a big "rah rah everything's still OK" pep rally.
The powers to be at the Rensselear Plant in distribution should remember this, “the worst thing a liar can do is, lie to an employee with a good memory”. We catch them in lies all the time. The town hall meetings are only there to blow smoke up your a–. Useless information.
I thought the townhall meetings were corporates way of trying to brainwash you into thinking their ways are going to work even though they are dead wrong. At least that's how it is in Rensselaer..
Townhall meeting is a call in for entire company not individual plants conference call
Question to the poster about the town hall meeting, is that just at your plant, or is this at all plants? Can anyone else confirm there is a town hall meeting at their plant day after the Omnibus hearing? They wait until the very last second to tell us anything at our plant.
There sure is a plan. They just announced major layoffs for Deans AR teams across the country as they transition to 5 AR centers like they did with Order Entry. These hardworking dedicated people were notified today of their fate. Deans will continue this through the end of February. They will announce more layoffs across the country to all departments to continue to slim the headcount and payroll. They have to at least attempt to the public that they are doing everything they can to survive. It will help to numb the blow of CH 7. I just saw on another post that the CEO and others received a bonus to stay at Deans and not jump the sinking ship along with raises right before the CH 11 was filed.
Sounds like there's a plan to tell the courts
Looks like the hearing can cover any topic, interesting to see that a Company Town Hall has been scheduled a day later.....
An omnibus hearing is a Court hearing at which the Court may hear a variety of different matters relating to one particular case.

Then scroll down to Key Dates. It's not like it's a big secret, anyone can access this site. I don't know what am Omnibus hearing is, but supposedly just from what I've googled, it means the debtors get to argue before the judge the claims made by the creditors. So Dean Foods lawyers can say something like Company XYZ claims we owe them $40,000 but we claim we only owe them $30,000, and here's why.... So a bunch of dumb stuff like that. Might actually be terribly boring information. I don't think anything juicy is going to happen during these hearings. I think the meeting of creditors is where we might get some bigger news, but even then, everything will not be sorted out and finalized yet.
