Selling what amounts to roughly 10% of his annual compensation is somehow meaningful and gives us insider confirmation that the company is in trouble? I think not.

If he's selling about $800k of stock when the it's hovered close to 15 year lows, then I think that its a good assumption that he's going to be moving on soon. The company is going through another bloodbath as it suffers from the inevitable downturn that follows a upturn and a management response that is to slash jobs to save face to Wall Street analysts. Western Hemisphere, not to mention others, clearly needs help and perhaps that will come with a management change.

McKinsey should come in and help them figure out a 2025 strategy since they can't seem to figure it out themselves.

All you are worried as if it is over. Ever consider people sell a portion of their stocks after dividends post and are rolled over into addition shares? Or they sell what is received immediately in the ESPP to pull 10-15% profit?

May want to consult a personal financial advisor versus thinking the company is doomed.

I smell Enron, MCI Worldcom. The insiders know something. To the Trumpers, this is fake news don't believe the hype. To the people that can read the data, stock is trending south, demand for oil and gas will continue to decline as electric/hybrid cars come online in 2025 so dump the stock when there is value.

This forms indicates selling stock at a loss. (The original stock purchase prices range from $27.14 to $55.68. Halliburton stock price was $25.39 on January 6, 2020, the date this form was filed.)
Many assumptions are being made with this post. We shouldn't automatically assume an executive's stock sale is a negative thing. They may need to pay taxes, lessen their tax burden for next year or want to diversify their portfolio, etc. Sure, they may know something we don't. Since we don't have a complete picture, it is irresponsible to assume anything on limited information.
