Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

Where is Devon headed?

Can someone explain Devon's long-term strategy, please? I don't get it. Dying on the vine doesn't seem like a viable plan, but it sure seems like that's the company's direction. Maybe it will just buy back all its own stock and the board of directors can smoke the stock certificates. Seriously, wishing for a buyout from someone nice seems to be DH's likely plan, with golden parachutes for all whose titles begin with C.

Exceptional execution will make our stock trade at a huge premium. We will then buy another company with that premium. Haven’t you read Vision 2020? Get back to work on the gold curve!

Holding company? I'm uninformed, I guess. In which other companies does Devon have a controlling interest? I thought we sold everything not considered a core asset.
