Thread regarding Alliance Data Systems Corp. layoffs

M.ilford update

  1. ilford will be closing by end of summer. No update on layoffs for associates, security likely will be effected, but it will be moving to strictly work at home.

Unfortunately I highly doubt those who can't/don't want to work from home will be offered any type of severance since they are being offered the option to keep their job by going home. That's a real shame since nobody that is currently in the office wants to and is able to work from home. Anyone who wanted to go to work at home has had plenty of chances to do so by now.

The company is going to loose a lot of good employees, including myself, over this move. I've been "part of the ADS family" for almost 5 years and didn't see my self voluntarily leaving anytime soon but since working at home is not an option for me I guess I will have "voluntarily leave" very soon.

I 100% agree and early assist will be the first department that gets fleeced. Guarantee that. I don't think they'll touch the 401k but you never know. These are trying times for sure. Hopefully if people don't want to or can't work from home, they offer some sort of severance. But they're making this move so they can say that people weren't laid off, they quit. That's all this move is about.

This is so unfair to the people who cant/dont want to work at home. This is a company that is supposed to be family? Care about their associates? This company has been run in to the ground with bad decisions. If they really cared they would have gotten an office at least big enough to accommodate the people that don’t want to or can’t work at home! They spent 3.4 million to get rid of Melissa Miller and a two million dollar bonus to Charles Horn for a few months of filling in... who wants to sit there and tell me these are good business decisions while us associates, WHO KEEP THE COMPANY AFLOAT BY COLLECTING THEIR MONEY FOR THEM get dumped on. Our credit granting policies are the worst in the business.. slowly but surely they keep taking things away from us while giving more money to the higher ups. Now they are messing with the benefits.., the decreased amount of money given for the HSA... what’s next the 401k???? Us collectors keep the company running... its about time for us associates to start voicing our TRUE OPINIONS... not the ones that are voiced because people are too afraid to speak up.. think about people... unless we do? We will lose more and more.. guaranteed.. next thing they will cut is incentive!!! TIME TO SPEAK UP!!!!!!!
