I won't pretend that everything is okay. However, I have been hearing "Sears is going to close down" and have been news stories about "This will be the last year for Sears" since I showed up in 1997.

I remember a customer telling me how Sears was going to close "soon". The next thing out of my mouth was "May I put this on your Sears card?" and her reply was "oh yes, absolutely."

If Sears (and Kmart) are doing fine, then why do they both only have a fraction of the stores that they had in the early 90s?
