They recently rehired a guy that got fire for calling an employee a ni---r and yall re hire this guy when his staff is 95 percent black. They tell you it mandatory to work 10 hrs a day but more if needed but 10 hrs guaranteed but when work is slow the cut your hrs and expect you to survive off pennies. But when your forced to get a second job or start your own business they have a problem when your a little late or falling a sleep at the wheel. First i shouldnt have to work two jobs to survive i should be able to do it with one
THE SHIP IS SINKING.. I REPEAT THE SHIP IS SINKING. FTW is a circus only a matter of time before Jerry says FU-K THIS.
I don't care what anybody's say's about CFL
everyone is going t be unhappy and sour face , I come in every day pre trip my forklift and give itmy all. Ftw is getting lot
better , still seeing people smoking on the dock and I wish supervisor would say something not all of us like the smell of smoke. But all in all if you ain't happy
them leave that plain and simple.
Osha will be paying Memphis a visit over covid violations and once they get a good look of how everything is falling apart at the terminal it'll probably be closed.
I faken agree this place is a joke , Honestly
they can't even compete with other carriers
pay rate! Jerry Moyes is a jokester
and all his Puppets. All managers and salary people are still getting 10 percent
cut from their pay. Riding it to the wheels
Fall off...
Just heard from a terminal manager that Jerry refuses to give drivers their money back...this company is a write off for him...he can care less about the success of central freight...he’s trying to make his books look as profitable as possible for write-offs and look appealing for a potential buyer...that explains why we will not get our pay back, and why equipment sucks...better jump ship...it’s sinking
Drivers are getting pay raises and All Salary
employees are getting sc--w out of 10.00
percent. that jerry should give back .
I say do a mass walk out , 1 day if we Unite
we would put him to retire early .But seriously Jerry you messed up by putting your hands in the pudding! Sucka!
mass walk out on May 28th if 10.00 percent
is not given by that date , we already made the pact ,, you're deadline is may 15th
someone better tell his a-zz
Jerry, built his career in screwing drivers and paying them pennies on the dollar..swift sucks, and he is turning central into swift 2.0 drivers should refuse to work until he fixed this cestpool
The company is switching insurance providers and yes the prices will be high . Way more than you currently pay. Steve Vonda has been fired as weil .
Union Pacific employees make more than that.
Jerry Moyes just fu---d up !!! We should Fucnk clock in and sit our a-s down and grill some bbq . We need to have better pay as a Dockworker Drivers in Fort worth
just got increase to 27.50hr
1e need to protest !! And drivers
in Ftw saying the Medical insurance
is up or really expensive...this will be very interesting
I currently work NSH terminal as a p an d driver. Personally I love it and work with some awesome people. Yes there is a for lease sign out front but the lease isn't up for another year it's just a way for the owner of the building to raise the lease. To understand why they would lease rather than buy is simple most likely the lease payments are 100 percent written off. But in all honesty I love my job and hope it'll last for at least 25 years as I don't plan on leaving.
Who cares? The people at those locations care. As for jerry he has money no doubt but he is also a cheap piece of sh–. He has money but we took a 10% pay cut explain that. Explain why the trucks we drive are sh–. Nothing gets maintained properly. More importantly explain why the company is up for sale.
For the record I am no p-ss-d off ex employee. I am a current driver who knows what is going on. 3 terminals with leases up, paychecks were late, on the verge of loosing the u line contract , and a owner who says he will not spend any more money on this company. Us drivers know more than you realize
2 facilities have posted signs ? who cares did it ever occur they will run it out of 1 area? Jerry can buy what he wants ! just and angry ex employee Hating !

On the verge of losing the U line contract. That contract is the only thing saving this company. Those dirty deeds are catching up.
Driver sent me photos of Charlotte, and claims Nashville has a sign stating for lease.
What facilities have that posted? Jerry Moyes said he is no longer funding this company it is now sink or swim. He also just purchased a truck company in Mexico and the volunteer sleepers are being moved there. The company is hoping to be purchased by another company if not it will go under.
2 facilities have lease and building available postings
UP
Has
Center has
How is the mothership lawsuit going? That Is over 500,000 and let's not forget all the unpaid bills. This company is sinking and fast. A VP leaves after 40 years, that is very questionable.
In response to the post on Tampa Terminal...
Either your buddy fed you bull sh– or you’re a loser and made it all up cuz you’ve no life.
Lemme ask you this.. did your buddy tell you bout the overweight, ignorant clerk who thought he could run the terminal after the TM and Dispatcher left? Well this fool ran the place into the ground and was clueless and such a joke and made bad calls daily and Tampa was the joke of the company for a hot minute until the overweight cry baby threw his last temper tantrum and did us the biggest favor ever and left. Within days Tampa was back on top and this fat mans name is now a sad joke. The new TM never had a chance with this obese a–hole as his back up, now with his departure we thrive. Now that’s a true story and all facts can be validated by any of the Tampa employees who had to deal with the ignorant a–hole.
Union Pacific.
How are we broke as a company? Theres too much hush hush and not enough explanation. This is a sinking ship.
We received $10 millions of ppp money to save 500 jobs then had layoffs. What happened to all that money. New cars and houses for high ups?
Florida has more potential than any state I've been to but yet the yards and terminals there are completely run down real bad (you should see Orlando unbelievable I've see better road surfaces and buildings in 3rd world countries than there.) Most of the new equipment (trucks)we have in Florida which is about half of what is really needed are about 11/2 to 2 yrs old and they are completely run down and beat up no regular maintenance, trucks are slip seated and damaged primarily buy the local drivers (99% worth) and it takes many weeks to get even the small thing repaired, also the other terminals are bad too pot holes everywhere run down buildings. I'm sure if large or small companies saw these facilities they would 🏃♂️ run to the next service provider. Sad to see all the investments going to the new terminals when there is an in place system that could be shinning with a boost $$ from the corporate office, from what I see most of the employees want to stay and seem dedicated sad that the neglect is happening.
Signed disappointed
I m a mechanic at CFL and things are getting better on our end. Michael Brennon was let go and the new CEO is changing things for the better on all ends. Next year will be great.
Perris needs to get raid of their day time dispatch all the valuable employee is leaving because of her harassing and bullying driver and other employee sadly Upper management had done nothing
Why if they cut pay by 10% for drivers are they offering .58 cpm in the Phoenix region?
Job posting at Freightwaves on Nov. 20th, 2020. Sounds as if they are paying one group different from others.
Updated: I'm not an employee of CFL, but I know some people who work there. I have heard some stories about this company and I thought that I would love to work for, but until the stories. NOT for me. The location in South of GA. They had this on manager there who did not know what he was doing. His Granddaddy was an owner, but he sold it and now that his grandson works there. He can missed up and still keep his job. He has taken a trailer and took it to another location and left it there for over a year. They have called him, but he never told anyone. Until know, it was over 2 hundred thousand dollars worth of merchandise and he still has gotten a promotion to Tampa FL. So if this was someone else they would have been fired and in jail. Now they gotten a new manager, who still don’t know what he is doing, nor does he know the location of different areas of the south. Driver’s have offer him to ride with them, but he doesn’t want to, he thinks the computer is correct, which that doesn’t make any kind of since, if the drivers know the route, which they do ever day. Some go really far out in the sticks of GA and some are in the city, which are totally to different ways.

Michael Brennan is gone and Steve Vondra is back. THANK GOD!!!! We are turning around at last.
MICHEAL BRENNAN IS GONE!!!
I’m sooo happy for the 8 drivers that went to better job, better company. Our wage is cut, drivers are leaving with out two week notice. Routes are heavier because of short driver or route don’t get service. Missed pick ups and p-ss-d of customers. Way to go CFL that how you do it. Bunch of clowns running the company down. Customers are p-ss-d off and starting to go with the competition. Wonder what the plans for Florida terminals. Estes bought all of them. Come on Cfl get it together or just close it down. Ya failing bad
I have been employed with Central for almost 1 yr now and all I hear is bad mouth about the company. Yes the terminals I have been two are c-appy I heard dallas opened up a new term and fw was remodeling there old beast. So far my check has been there directly deposited no issues. Management s—s I have to say no communication at all in this company which is not good. I hope they get there c-ap together.
Sounds like many more people will get let go in the next 2 weeks. When Central bought us things were supposed to be great but instead we find out that we are run by a snot nosed toddler, mic b who is totally lost. What do we need to do to get rid if this jokester so we can quit laying off people. Why hasn’t his wife been let go, I think she is still on the payroll, another kiddie pooler.
Do they even answer the phone. A driver, and can't get anybody to answer the phone. All numbers given go straight to a pre-recorded message. Saying not available. What a circus!
Hello everyone,
My father has worked at CFL for over 40 years as a driver. CFL has literally provided for me my entire life. I started working there at 18 as a dockworker. With the exception of my military service, CFL has been my primary employer. I eventually got my MBA and have had opportunities else where but my loyalty has always lied with CFL. I have always wanted to become a terminal manager or a division VP so I could turn this place around. It doesn’t take an MBA to see how had this company is being mismanaged. I have read the emails, heard the speeches, and been in the conference calls. I do understand cutting the fat and getting rid of all the double staffing positions and certain personal that are not performing up to standards. One key issue is that the people you are under performing are the ones who are “too high up on the food chain”. And not only are they mismanaging the company into the ground, they are in panic mode. How stupid do you have to be to think that your best move is an entire work force pay cut? MB talked about getting rid of the underperforming employees and hiring quality employees but how do you compete with other companies when you were already paying the lowest in the industry and then lower it by 10%? Not to mention when you walk into a terminal and your first impression is what is this sh– hole? You call this a leading provider? Your equipment is outdated, run down, and barely even working. I recently hired a new dockworker and his comments about our equipment and facilities were a true unbiased opinion. The only reason he took the job was out of desperation. I do fear and believe that it’s only a matter of time before CFL goes under unless a complete revamp of leadership happens but we all know it won’t.
