Thread regarding Sears layoffs

What difference does it make?

Whether it's Tuesday, Thursday, next week or next month? We all know how this is going to end. Nobody is going to be shocked when the announcement finally arrives. So why worry and stress over the exact date?

Do your work and pick up your pay while you can. Once it's over, move on. Nobody here is (or really shouldn't be) under the impression that Sear's days are not already numbered.

I think it is best to seek employment before the chain goes under. A hiring manager for prospective employers may wonder why you were willing to go down with the ship. If you stay make sure you have a good answer to that question in the interviewing process. Remember the best employees have the ability to leave first , not that they all do. That is not lost on hiring managers. You don't want to get labeled as the dregs. Good luck to all in your new ventures.

Other chains are starting to announce closures so if he's smart (everyone laugh), now's the time to do it while everyone is distracted.

Sadly where I live people still believe they will NEVER (yes they said that word) shut down our Kmart in our city.
