Thread regarding Alliance Data Systems Corp. layoffs

If you can't decide if you want to quit

Remove layoffs from your considerations. Determine if you are still happy here unrelated to the constant ax hanging over your head and you'll get your answer.

I figured out I would be miserable even if I still had job security and I knew it was time to leave. Try it out, might help you make the decision.

The people in westminster definitely keep me there. They aren't just coworkers, they are family.

Good advice no matter where you work, focus on your current job instead of what might happen down the road. Any job can be hit with unexpected layoffs or complete closings with no notice.

If you are happy with the job you have keep it for now but periodically review your decision to make sure you are still happy with it.

If you aren't happy with your current position start looking for a better opportunity. Life is too short and we all spend too time of it at work to not be happy.

If you aren't sure if you are happy or not I would suggest you keep one eye on the job posting sites to see if anything sparks your interest. Just remember the grass isn't always greener in new pastures.

Also happy with my job and direct supervisor (Westerville) though worried about layoffs and decisions made by management.

100% honest I would stay. I love my job, I love my coworkers, and I love my direct leadership. If it wasn’t for the layoffs and the constant fear of possibility I wouldn’t be updating my resume and constantly searching LinkedIn and other sites for potential openings. The company as a whole has some obvious holes in it. And I can’t speak for every site but where I am (Easton) I love my position and I love what I do. It’s been a rough few months and my area has experienced some lay offs. But I still love what I do. If it wasn’t for the layoffs and other things that go on behind closed doors I would be 100% happy with myself. Again I can’t speak for everyone else but as for me. I’m happy.
