It won't be long before HPE gets it's own "Xerocide"... History tells that shareholders' more than welcome this kind of short term gain for them, so it's just a matter of time.
Needless to say there will be tons of layoffs sooner than later. HPE is good at coming up with technical terms, but that's the only thing we have out there. Catchy terms that hopefully will be perceived as an "innovative" product roadmap that doesn't exist. There is no product or service offering out there that competitors couldn't provide at a better cost. We are not a "Solutions" company. How can we be a solutions provider if we can't even provide a quote on time or meet a delivery date? We haven't been able to manage consistently our own business fundamentals, and now we want to manage others'.
Seeing HPE coming up with the absurd to gain a few more months just for the sake of benefiting the upper layers is so pathetic. At the end, they are the only ones with immoral contracts that will guarantee them hefty multi-million packages while most zombie employees will get packages that won't allow them to live like human beings past 3 months. History will repeat itself once again. A lot of employees will take a 'wait & see' approach, so the ones that leave now (or are terminated first) will have an advantage on getting new jobs with better terms before thousands get forced to go out and then the market dictates the big pay cut they are going to get by being late to the job market game. It's amazing how many people will never learn...
