I just checked the comments and posts on the competitors of Enbridge and they are silent. Says a lot when Enbridge has the mose posts of unhappy employees and talks of layoffs. I guess we all chose the wrong company to work for.

Ffs. If you hate your shoes, neighborhood, car or job then do something about it and make a change. Stop waiting for someone to make a decision for you. I’m tired of working with a bunch of whiners who won’t take responsibility for their own happiness. Do something positive for your life or stop whining.
Glad to see a couple Finance VPs on Global news last night, enjoying a night out watching hockey, while the rest of us sit around wondering about these layoffs.
Pockets of good morale at the field offices. They are a little more sheltered from the BS that the office employees get exposed to.
Seen the low morale first hand. fellow field workers who used to enjoy coming to work now have nothing good to say about it. The continous lack of information regarding what work we will be doing and the constant scrutiny from from managers is getting old .

Certainly feels that way. Rumour has it that they still want employees to leave on their own accord. Cheaper that way.
Is the company still actively promoting low morale amongst employees? If so, what is the strategic reason for this course of action?

Look at any of the IP groups: Mainline, East or Oilsands and you will see nothing but elite talent and unmatched system knowledge combined with unparalleled project management skills. It's a 2 way swing valve for those of you well versed in pipeline lingo.
If not all of Enbridge is bad, what are those parts that are not bad? I will make a point of looking for them.
Not all of Enbridge is bad. Perhaps it's just your attitude? I'm sure you do good work and all, but just as important is your attitude and if you've already decided you dislike Enbridge then nothing AM or anyone does will change your mind. Change comes from within. Enbridge had some hard years but they have improved and made some positive changes. You would be well advised to do the same.
