If I'm not mistaken, these rounds of layoffs falls under the WARN act... I don't recall receiving any notices, did anyone else????

Weatherford announced 6,000 layoffs (80% from the USA) and I am skeptical that the Company is in compliance with the WARN Act, as only 50-499 workers need to be laid off constituting 33% of the total active full-time workforce from a single site of employment. The percentage from a single site layoffs can only increase over the coming months. Stay tuned...
Rumors of layoffs are the new normal at wft. I'm sure there will be cuts throughout 2020, we're caught between not having enough manpower to gain ground while still needing to reduce costs overall.
The WARN Act does not apply if there is a natural or man-made disaster, an act of war, or if hte company faces severe financial strains. But none of these apply with
Weatherford. It is unlikely that the act applies at all though. It would apply if more than 100 people were employed at the location (not the entire company), and at least 50 were let go. It does not look like there are any where this happened. And layoffs over time at not covered.
The first warning your job is in danger of being eliminated is when you find yourself still working for Weatherford in 2020.
The second warning is when you hear HR rolling the cart down the hall towards your office to clean it out.
Okay Liferdog. Thanks for the heads up jack-rabbit.
Ok heres your WARN
They’re we’re plenty laid off to require WARN. And, the company’s size plays a factor as well. You say there weren’t enough??? How do you know?
How many layoffs do you need to know the wheels are coming off. Be sure and wait for WARN
There wasn't enough folks laid off to need the warn act
Thanks smart a–. 2016 notice went for 2016.
You got your warning in 2016
