This is the $64000 question, and is why 98% of the users of this site are on here. Still waiting for an answer. Next Week, most likely? And if so, how many stores? Mostly Sears? Mostly Kmarts? A mixture of both? How many more rounds til they are finally all closed? So many questions. Have not seen any good answers yet.

I thought it would have been out already. Usually the announcements are every 2 Months and last was in Early November.....

@odh

Eddie is friends with this Abacus place. There is probably some sort of agreement between them.

I hope soon. The last round should be done in about 1 Month, freeing up the Liquidators to KO another round. Being that they are only like 180 stores left, they should be able to get it done in a round or 2, hopefully.

@ohg I always wondered that too. Why not just stop ordering c-ap, then lower Prices until the store is empty? Why do they need someone else to do it?

I was just thinking if they are making enough money on the closings they may not announce any more closings until after the fiscal year for accounting purposes. If this is the original agreement date maybe two weeks from now, if it’s after the sale closure which was in February they might just do it all as one swoop.

@kky Fast Eddie is going to leave most everyone else holding the bag no matter how it rolls.

@12N4QmH6-ohg A liquidator is to take control of the (store) sell the remaining assets and distribute the proceeds to its creditors. If Transformco/Sears were to liquidate the remaining stores themselves, what are the odds Eddie and company would keep the proceeds to themselves and leave everyone else with nothing?

Again...maybe I'm ignorant.
But why do we need a liquidator to close the stores?
Just sell the SH-T and shut them down!!!
It's not rocket science 🔥🔥🔥

The whole company is closing June or july 2020. Our liquidator said the reason it is taking so long to close all the stores is because they don't have enough liquidators to close the stores and are therefore doing the closings in stages.

I'm guessing it won't be tomorrow or Friday because this is a Holiday week, but I could see the next round being announced next week. I am thinking for sure there will be another announcement before the month ends.

Everybody wants to know when the next list of closings is coming out, and yet no one seems to know. I think that’s exactly how transformco wants it. To keep it under wraps and keep people guessing.
