Has anybody else noticed that stores are looking bare lately? Empty fixtures or only a couple of items on large tables. Fixtures off the floor and aisles so wide now. It feels very much like how Sears stores went before they started to close so many stores and sank even faster.

Shorts attacking again beware. These guys work to bring down company morale so they can make money on the stock market. They were a factor in bringing down Sears. That's why they are mentioning Sears in this post.
Sadly when you sign on as a seasonal employee what you sign is they can let you go for any reason at all or none at all. You can be let go anytime and that's made clear. The store should inform you but I know mine has not been for everybody. It's not ideal but it is clearly stated in your paperwork.
I was a seasonal employee making bare minimal. I was on the schedule to work another 2 weeks. Went to work yesterday at JCPenney Arrowhead Mall, Glendale AZ and with no warning no notice nothing restricted from entering. Tried logging in and was restricted. I feel a complaint this size acted very unprofessional for not responding to phone calls on attendance line and not making you aware if you were laid off. I plan on filing a grievance w/the Dept of Labor and EEOC.
