And all through the house, not a creature was stirring except careers left doubt. Now that reality has set in and plans have been tossed in a Tru Red trash bin, there is nothing left to celebrate that not even a consulting group can mitigate. We all hold our breath knowing the end is soon near, not even Sandy can be a hero like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. So in a hurry I do advise, update your resume before your Staples career demise.

I left Staples in early 2018 and now work for a very successful company that is perennially profitable and has tons of cash in the bank.
It's great and all, but when I look back through my LinkedIn contacts, there are so many great people I remember fondly from Staples. Some are still there, some aren't. I don't feel like I have the same kinds of relationships with people at my new company. Money and stability are great, but I miss my old Staples friends.
right you are hang in there and pour a bit more of your sweat & blood into the company, SP has shown by their track record that they will reward your dedication and work ethic by mercifully giving you 2 in the hat
“ What I wish for in 2020.......” . Probably the best post in the last several years. Well said . Staples was amazing at one time , maybe not so much today ....but it created great careers for many over a few decades . Friendships were made that will last beyond the latest P&L . People who worked at Staples made great contributors to a wonderful business story . Tom was proud of what he built and the people who helped him .
Advice to the whiners ....let it go ....and maybe GO SOMEWHERE ELSE . Your “ brilliance “ would be appreciated elsewhere I am sure .
What I wish for 2020 is for all of us to stop the negativity. All of have either worked for or are still working for Staples. It hasn't been easy and at times I just feel like it's a bad abusive relationship. It's unfortunate because when it was CE it was an awesome place to work with awesome people. The downside started with RS and continued with SG and now the corporate greed with SP is heartbreaking. But there are still great people that are part of Staples. We stick with it for various reasons and non of them are wrong. We may see something that you don't or maybe it's not the right time to make the move. Don't beat up on the people that are left. I am sure you saw value in what you were doing at one time as well. It's not the company it was and it will probably never be but let's put some positive perspectives into this as well. Time will tell what happens to this company but we all have to admit that we have made some incredible relationships because of Staples. Happy New Year and may this year bring you all good health and that opportunity you are looking for
does anyone still believe that they will buy WB Mason? That there will be an IPO? If you do you should engage the mental health services provided by the employee assistance program before you are tossed into the dust bin.
You can bet on New Year exits.
