UPS delivering goods

What's up with the tons of packages being delivered via UPS? These packages are not typical boxes that we usually receive; the boxes are a mixture of men's, women's, and children's clothing in each box. My guess is that they're clearing out warehouses? We are getting tons of these boxes almost daily.

Has anyone noticed that some of the product in the UPS shipments have the wrong hangers. I've seen children's clothes with petite and women's size hangers. I'm glad for those hangers because I've also seen boxes with hanging merch. without hangers.

Because the few stores left are so far apart that traditional distribution no longer makes sense. UPS can do it for cheaper. Also, because more and more vendors are waiting for payment before handing over goods (because they're smart), they direct ship from vendor to store.

@1jfb is right. Eddie is so broke that ESL had to sell Land's End and Autonation shares just to lend to Sears as part of the $200M loan. It's a matter of public record because it had to be filed with the SEC. If it hadn't been for this, Eddie wouldn't even be able to afford UPS.

It's like those stores that were shut down in the middle of remodeling. Eddie was busy opening his own piggy bank to snap up Sears' shares for his own private ownership at $40 a share when investors were bailing out of his and Berkowitz's hedge funds. Whoops. He must've thought those shares were cheap and valuable, underestimating his incredible incompetence as a CEO, that is, being the worst one in the history of the universe. Eddie has staked everything on the Sears real estate is a pot of gold thesis, while Berkowitz owns not a share of Seritage in 2020, which tells you how much toxic waste it looks to the guy who used to be Eddie's biggest cheerleader. The bear case for the lease revenue per square foot has been exactly right, the c-appiness and remediation costs caused by years of disrepair have gone exactly as expected. Meanwhile, ESL is liquidating Autonation and Land's End shares just to keep afloat, while betting the bank on Transform.

Innovel does not have their own trucks. So if the company has not paid their delivery/shipment carriers...

@12Igx1Iu-xtd said "I heard some deliveries were actually attempted after we had already vacated and they didn't know what to do with them."

All this chaos under the Transformco banner. Eddie Lampert couldn't operate a miniature railroad.

Think about it.
They don't have to give us hours to unload a truck, process or to replenish the store. But then the little DM's come in complaining 'cause there's stock to be worked. Mind you we have no idea when it's coming, how much or which departments, so we are not prepared.
It's a mess and getting worse.

We were still getting sporadic UPS shipments of brand new merchandise up until the last couple weeks of our liquidation. It was kind of amusing, actually. Fixtures getting torn down around the store, departments getting pushed forward, everything already at least 50% off, and here we are putting several cases of new fleece hoodies up. I guess at least they sold really fast though. I heard some deliveries were actually attempted after we had already vacated and they didn't know what to do with them.
