Do we know anything?

This company is a piece of sh–. I'm actively looking for jobs and leaving as soon as I find a good opportunity.
I heard it wasn't a contactor in Guelph but an direct employee. Maybe we find out when the fire Marshall releases the report.....
Any more rumours for a March ‘walk out Wednesday’? There needs to be some cleaning of house in the GTA offices, but as usual they’ll let the good ones go and keep the bullies around , heck even promote them!
Wams baby wams...have you updated Hyperion yet? And why is hr sis allowed to work from home 80% of the time ..big con show
The work is being outsourced is Utility Service Rep work.
Meter Sets and Changes for residential and commercial businesses. etc....
Look at the house that just exploded in Guelph. That meter was just previously changed out that very day by a contractor.
If I can’t trust anonymous people on the internet, who can I trust???
How is the work currently being outsourced?
I have been seeing many Utility Service Reps have been trying to leave for other jobs as they are being outsourced to Lakeside Gas and Aecon.
"Focus on keeping up the good work and the rest should take care of itself. "
More like - Keep up the good work and the company will "harmonize" our pension + benefits and make them "better"
I think there are some t–ds from Accenture who like to spread misinformation here. Ignore. From everything I’ve heard, the Union Gas centres are cheaper and better in every way. Focus on keeping up the good work and the rest should take care of itself.
The company doesn't care about any of us.
We are all just a number.....a number that is cutting into their profit margins....
They would cut any one of us as fast as we could blink if it made the share holders happy,
To bad we all didn't get the same % raises as AM and CH.
How do you know they are outsourcing the contact centres? I have heard from people in both centres that they’re already getting new computers and going to be trained for new CIS system. Why would they do all that if they are getting rid of them all? That makes no sense. Everyone just spreads rumours on here, who has actual proof that contact centres will be outsourced?
Wait until the outsource all the call center operations. Maybe the LUG staff can become Accenture employees
I can live with her dullness. It’s her dishonesty that I can’t respect.
Hey Kansas City... the saying goes “sharpest knife in the drawer”
The few times I work with CH she was certainly not the sharpest knife on the tree. Not by a long shot.
Any information on merit increase this year? Last year average was 3%
CH is another one who should have remained in middle management.
Reduce workforce, combine departments, combine roles.
Then the spin from CH saying it needed to be done and enbridge will emerge stronger more competitive.
What does "right size" mean?
Latest rumor is to right size ontario
It is the Al Monaco way. He displays woefully unsophisticated leadership qualities. He should have remained in middle management.
It’s most decidedly the Enbridge way.
Yeah, I think they’re afraid of how many people would volunteer. I think that happened with one of the Canadian Telecomm companies - way too many people volunteered. They’ve also obviously been using these layoffs to get rid of people who aren’t bad enough to fire from a performance perspective, but who don’t fit-in, annoyed the wrong person, or are just critical of the current way of doing things. That’s actually one of the reasons I expect small reductions from now on - telling people their job is redundant is a lot easier than actually fixing the problems that make some employees stop pulling in the same direction. It’s a cowardly way of doing things, yes, but it’s the Enbridge way.
I really wish they would ask for volunteers to be laid off. Are they scared too many people will volunteer? At least that way the people that were left would want to be there. It seems so much more logical. At some point they have to start thinking about morale.
Probably on a Wednesday.... probably right before STIP payouts = end of Feb/Mar is probably a good guesstimate!
To the person who said she worked hard this past year, I hate to break it to you, but it doesn’t matter. Al will cut you.
Whoops! CUTS NOT CATS - Don’t want to sound politically incorrect
Question for Houston office: is strategic planning still in business in Houston. If it still exists have they done anything lately. If not, seems like an easy decision to make cats.
Its estimated that is costs approximately 1.5x annual salary to replace an employee. If an estimated 100 people leave with average salary of $50k, that costs the company $7.5M. that's NOT beneficial to shareholders. Bliss-Gately tool used as reference
Employees vs dividend? Hmmm... “off with their heads!”
This is devastating news. I worked so hard last year I thought Enbridge was through the worst and things are starting to turn around with the economy in Calgary. When will this end?
Here's hoping I'm on the list....
Then again, for how disorganized this company has become, I wouldn't put it past them to f-k that up too.
There’s definitely some wide ranging layoffs coming in the first months of 2020.
What rumors have you been hearing? This is not good
Awaiting a response from the IP a*e....,
Field managers getting nervous here. I think a shakeup is near
I've been hearing some rumors, so I figured it's better to check.
