I know Oxy has it's detractors just like many other oil companies and companies in general, but I really do feel like I have a good job and boss at Oxy. I have been around the industry for a while and I have to say this jobs works for me just fine. This is not true for everyone probably, but when you compare what we have to other industries we have it good. The Anadarko people that came to our group seem like a good bunch of folks, and I think a year from now they will tell you things are just fine. All the employees that got a VSP and COC got what they wanted in most cases. When something this huge takes place not everyone will feel equal, but there are many industries that you would walk away with nothing. A person told me the below advice a while back, and if you try to live this way things will be okay. I look forward to moving Oxy forward with my new co-workers in the new year.
