Thread regarding VeriFone layoffs

Verifone is back to square one once again

Management tried to put the Ex-motorola team in Chicago in charge of delivering terminals. After the FP acquisition, they laid off a bunch of people in San Jose and Rocklin. They trusted new comers to this industry to deliver a key product over the team that's been doing it for decades and since the foundation of the company.
Chicago's terminal failed to deliver and they were also put on the chopping block. Verifone is back to square one once again. They are in a downward spiral.

Well said, @12n3YgPv-gwzd.

It's worse there than most people realize. The CEO (MP) dismissed much of Verifone's experienced salesforce, turning that group into a formidable weapon working for competitors. Now they can't fill positions as experienced payment professionals do not want to join the disaster (bad management w/ no new product). That was probably the final straw. It's a gradual decline going forward. Revenues are sliding even though the economy is strong. There will be more sizeable job cuts in the future.
