2020

So When do we merge from the mcgraw cengage lanes into the big McCengage super highway? How many will be cut and who's first?

Cant wait to hear the earnings call for the qtr about to end. Its gonna be a disaster. To quote Clark Griswold. "Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.". Because Cengage and this business are dead.

3dor Chapter 7 liquidation would be a guarantee. 100% of the employees are gone without a severance or any notice.

So, if the merger does not happen, then what? Will there be massive layoffs, will they file bankruptcy, will Cengage be split and sold? What's the percentage of layoffs then?

Not going to happen based on what? You think some little group of professors who run an activist group are going to stop it? Billionaires who run private equity firms want it to happen, which means its going to happen. No one outside of this industry cares about it or pays attention.

Merger probably won’t happen, the only supporters of the merger are MH and his incompetent henchmen. Cengage will bleed out before merger gets approval.

Maybe over the course of 3 years, but that sounds way too high for the first round of cuts. 40% of high level executives perhaps. I’m guessing no more than 20% of rank and file. The merged company still needs to be able to function and they’ll be taking on a lot of product, many of which do not overlap.
