Williams has lost its way. It’s such a big company that is run by faceless bureaucrats and bean counters. Employees that are passionate and have all their heart and believe in the natural gas business are sometimes norveven recognized and easily terminated in massive layoffs by others who don’t even believe in fracking and natural gas. This is a symptom of a large company that has lost its way.

True, my friend.
Enough ‘tricks” already. Enough. Take care of business, avoid the wrong path or you will be lost. Literally pushed to “lose your way “ along with any self respect you have left.
Whatever, the trick is to be one but fake put your peers that you are not one. That’s how people get ahead at williams, sad but true
If you have to resort to that - by then it’s to late. Just saying...
Yes, if you want to stay employees if you are over 55

- that’s your advice? Pathetic...
My advice is to kiss behind, don’t make waves and do your job and fly below the radar. If you do all those things and get lucky you might not get shot down, but have your parachute ready just in case.
Wondering how long will those of us who declined the early retirement package have left until we're let go?
Of course it’s for money, just like the Vietnam protestors in college that ended up working for a variety of defense contractors as they grew up.
There are many young hires pushing for "Green" energy. Not sure why they chose to work for Williams, other than the money, but crusade they will! Do not appear to rally against anything they stand for on this, for they have the ear of the upper management. HR is also a big supporter of this. Too much getting in the way of our work.
True, if the company was shrinking I would have no problems with staff reductions but this is a growing market and company, that is what makes these layoffs so hard to understand, just don’t buy it.
