Thread regarding Symantec Corp. layoffs

NLOK all hands takeaway

Couple of takeaways- TSA accelerated ..from whatever they showed they plan to be done with this TSA business by February end. They have kept aside an extended buffer duration for 2 months but it is unlikely they will go that far. We are in the 60 day “grace period” post closure . Expect almost everyone on TSA to be let go by Jan end.

The new CEO is a total wrong fit for RemainCo. Rick Hill must be really stupid to make him head a company that has had the likes of Fran Rosch in the past. It appears to be a split responsibility between Samir and the CEO . Samir already sounds fed up and might be looking to get out ASAP.

RemainCo will go private after the dust has settled there was a clear hint at this. Looks like Vincent has been given this job as a CEO

They seem to be pretty fed up dealing with Broadcom and the quicker they are done With Broadcom the better they would be. This asset sale has been way more complicated and messy than anticipated.

Expect massive layoffs at NLOK they need to pair off this stranded cost left behind by EBU.

I do not see much of a future for NLOK as they lost the backing of a solid brand in Symantec. Lifelock is only limited you USA doesn’t work outside the states.

@127aDAup-gzz, please elaborate about everyone. I'm from Warsaw and since day one the only one excited about this Broadcom thing was the manager Win Win Win( ask anyone from the 8o. Floor to know who he is). Everybody could feel that something wrong was about to happen. And managers were doing their job trying to make people keep working and pushing us. If there is anyone excited is because it's a fool, Broadcom doesn't give a sh– for the people, you can survive 6 months, but soon your time will come.

I am very sure Broadcom paid some premium in the acquisition for NLOK to settle this complication. It is supposed to be a complicated mess.

A few months ago, everyone was very very excited. Already fed up this soon?
