More support for the MAX

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-emirates-airshow-sunexpress-boeing-idUSKBN1XS1OQ

I guess haters gonna hate no matter what. If you want to know what a hater is, just watch the responses to this post.

There will be negative headlines, there will be those calling out me as the poster, there will be negative opinions...

But the MAX will fly again and in 5 years, this will be a blip on the radar.

To the OP
New Orders are good to see. We have only seen one since March.
That’s seven months without any commercial sales. There was one private sale.
This time period has been one of the most financially painful and earth shattering
experiences for Boeing, creating genuine fear for all.

The greatest fear is among those who could lose the most, the Boeing Board.
After things get back to some sort of normalcy that’s when heads usually roll.
After the lawsuit and the trails Boeing may be blessed with new leadership.

We are all hopping for the best for Boeing yet so angry at those who allowed
this to happen in the name of Profit. We all want our Boeing pride back.
Just as the families want their loved ones back, sadly that will never happen.

When the Max is re-certified globally and this could take 12 month according
To David Calhoun, after the FAA clears the Max for U.S. skies.
We will naturally see a return of sales, as Airbus cannot meet global demand.
We should see a new Design too as our 50 year old 737 is replaced with a
clean sheet airplane. I’m sure it will be a wonderful plane just too late
for those who were lost.

Do you feel better now?
Do you feel better about the Profiteers at the cost of others?
I hope you’re happy; there’s been some letters of intent, some possible sales.
If that what warms your hart I’m genuinely happy for you, Merry Christmas.

Don’t get me wrong:
I too am glad to see sales returning, but my hart feels no joy no excitement.
When I close my eyes each night all I can see are smoldering pits.
And before you say anything, yes I am looking for a new job.

This is not really "support for the MAX", but my gossip wagon says: there will be Announcements this Friday.

I See OP has a case of Blue Bias. Let me say there is no cure for Blue Kool-aid
Even at on-boarding we all were warned, go to work each day
Go home each night but leave that blue stuff behind to stay.
Do not drink that Blue Kool-aid.
Never mind your managers don’t listen to what they say
You’re only job is to stay. Managers come and go they did say
Driven crazy day by day from drinking that Blue Kool-aid.

Wishful thinking is a form of self-deception, giving one’s self, false optimism.
As an example an individual is on fire they feel warm they are optimistic.
While on-lookers are horrified and try to extinguish the flames as the individual

No sir/ma'am. Sorry.

The only confirmation bias here is the position of story after story of "Boeing Bad".

The fact is that mistakes were made, but even the Indonesian Government report cites half a dozen reasons or more that caused the accident, and guess what, not all of them were Boeing.

At beat Boeing misclassified the failure of the system from everything I have read. However, no country with stringent requirements for pilots ever had the issue or and incident/accident. Some level of piloting skill is required to operate these machines. Joe Blow of the street cannot do it (this isnt and Airbus).

Should the Boeing design have been better, probably. Should the assumption for pilot actions be changed, probably. But you should know that the assumption of pilot action in X seconds is a common assumption for every aircraft from the smallest Cessna to the 747.

At the end of the day "Boeing Bad" is an oversimplification and what is worse, most of you on here work at Boeing and you are wishing I'll on your own livelihood, How bright is that?

Confirmation Bias
Occurs from the direct influence of desire on beliefs.
When people would like a certain idea or concept to be true,
they end up believing it to be true. They are motivated by wishful thinking.
This error leads the individual to stop gathering information when the
Evidence gathered so far confirms the views or prejudices
one would like to be true.

Once we have formed a view, we embrace information that confirms that
view while ignoring, or rejecting, information that casts doubt on it.
Confirmation Bias suggests that we don’t perceive circumstances objectively.
We pick out those bits of data that make us feel good because they
confirm our prejudices.
