Expedia announced today many layoffs are coming this week.
More layoffs? CanadaStays...
16 people from department were laid off on june 16th. On a group call nonetheless!
Expedia just had more layoffs on Tuesday, June 16th.
Expedia is currently laying off employees amidst the COVID-19 pandemic
We all just got an email from the leadership team that said "Today, we are announcing our intent to reduce and eliminate certain projects, activities, teams, and roles to focus our organization." Goes on to say some people have already been notified and more will be notified as the leadership team gets more details about the various aspects of the organization.
Layoffs just announced.
Natural attrition scares off the wrong people. If Expedia wants to survive they need to keep the strong talent and decisively clean house as needed. The weak bonus will chase off the wrong people who will be enticed by strong equity/cash/bonus at competitors or other high-tech companies.

Maybe they are hoping to get people to quit when they find out about their non-existant bonuses?
Earnings released, the market closed, nothing announced. Stock up in after-hours market trading on a double-digit growth forecast. There was a vague announcement on run-rate savings.
I wonder if yesterday people were told individually and today affected teams are being told, ending with an after-hours announcement via email.
All quiet at Expedia today so far. If anything gets announced my guess cut the cash bleed on Trivago
Nothing happened
Nothing happening today
What time of day will it be announced?
So this is Mr.Prediction.... any questions?
Today we’ll see what happens, if anything.
Mr. Prediction is full of c-ap, see the following please:

Yes, I predict layoffs will happen on 2/12. Expenses must be in by the 11th and, as per the last commenter, this is suspicious. But more telling, the shareholder meeting that will report low 2019 earnings is the following day, 2/13. Diller & Kern will have to show they are taking cost cutting efficiencies like a RIF. Finally, TripAdvisor who is also struggling has announced they will also have layoffs.
Next week the expense system is going offlne, which means no one can submit any expenses. Coincidence?
Expedia started laying off from today.
There's a town hall coming up, also many sites cite "cost-cutting" measures mentioned, so yes, I would expect layoffs to happen.
