If the economy turns around, do you anticipate any Cintas Layoffs 2020? Any news or rumors?

How many people got laid off at the Grayson Distribution Center? I work there quite a while back and it was definitely a good old boys club. Management was a joke, and they demanded you worked overtime for minimal pay. The raises were a joke. I'm glad to be gone from that dump.
Placed on furlough in early April. Recalled for return 7/6/2020. The Thursday prior, HR called to tell me furlough is extended to end of July. Today, I got a call from GM with HR on speaker- terminated effective immediately. I do have an open WC case...so if anyone has experienced something like that I'd bet it's been subjective and they are using covid as a cover up. Maybe not all but many.
Good riddance to a crooked company.
Please do not work for this company. Total greed at its finest and they do not care about their so called "partners." I believe at one point long ago Cintas was a good company. Unfortunately, all they care about now is their shareholders. They make their SSRs put extra supplies in customers first aid cabinets without the customer knowing. If they don't do this, they will not hit their numbers and will be reprimanded or fired. Everything sales offers to customers is way overpriced. You can buy the same c-ap online for much less. Cintas is required under the WARN act to announce layoffs and give employees 60 days notice. I'll I received was a phone call on a Friday saying I no longer had a job.
By the way training was pathetic, managers were all unqualified degrenates.
The company is so cheap, they call it their spartan mindset. I call it total b—s— and I am so grateful I no longer work there.
Garbage company period. Can’t wait to crush them and take business away for fun at next employer.
What methodical way did Cinta's determine who stays and who goes. Absolutely the most unethical company.
I have worked for this company for over 2 years. Regret every day. This company is highly unethical. Pushing numbers and asking SSR's to find extra $ to reach and exceed the BLV #. Very discriminatory towards women. Even being essential and frontline workers got payout, if businesses are being closed they require SSR'S to call, email and return for several days. Just to milk more money out of struggling businesses. Worse Fortune 500 company on the books.
I agree with Post ID: @2fumg+1252ZZow 100%. I was told the same thing I was hired for an SSR position to never receive that position. I could have stayed and made more money with my previous employer. I passed there qualifications they told me I needed to pass and still was treated as if I was not qualified for the job. When the coronavirus pandemic hit they laid me off. Absolute BOYS CLUB. ONLY 2 females was in the department i was hired for. My CRT even told me HE thinks the sales team would be a better fit for me because the SAF department is to physical!
Cintas have had Layoffs across Canada in all departments from Halifax, to Vancouver. Uniform, Matting, and First Aid and Safety. Not a word or email to other employees to make the announcement that a co-worker is gone. What a sham, for weeks they kept saying they are an essential service to their front line workers and to go into these companies and tell them that and don't take no for an answer. General Managers and Service Managers have no clue how to service a company to the customers expectations. Customers will remember how bad this Company is. Glad I was let go last Friday, and if things get better and they call me back? no way I would ever return. I will bring my experience to UniFirst
Cintas has shown their true colours during this time of crisis. What a shameful company.
My husband worked for the sales team. He was assured time and time again with the COVID-19 virus to not worry because “Cintas never lays off employees”. It was the same thing all the time that Cintas made it through 9/11 and the 208 recession and never laid anyone off and this would be the same. My husband put out good numbers and was consistently getting better (he was only a year into his sales position). His boss asked to meet him for a 1x1 on Thursday and then never showed. Instead when he got there, the GM was there to meet him and laid him off. His boss never said a word to his until my husband reached out asking him to call him. Also they’re withholding a ton of his commission. At Cintas if a salesperson signs up a business they don’t get paid until the business is installed which makes sense. However they have to rely on others to schedule and install these businesses. It’s supposed to only take 2 weeks but often takes longer. When my husband was laid off he was told that he would only be paid out on anything that had already installed. So businesses he had signed that morning didn’t count towards his commission. That’s supposed to be part of his compensation for his job and it’s really shady that they can do that!
Cintas always talks about how their partners and their families are so important. Of the three people in my husbands office, he was laid off, one guy was furloughed and one person kept her job. When my husband got laid off, our insurance ended that night. We have a 1 year old and I am 26 weeks pregnant with a high risk pregnancy. When he mentioned that the GM said there was nothing he could do. The whole office knew what we were going through. Sure I get that our personal lives aren’t their concern but why was he the only one of the three to be laid off?! It doesn’t sound like they really cared about my husband as a “partner” or his family. They were cold about it from beginning to end.
We’ve always been loyal to Cintas even though they’ve let us down once or twice in the past. My husband worked hard and always offered to go the extra mile to help out. I can’t with a good conscious recommend this company to anyone anymore. I hope that when this virus is over, people remember how companies treated their employees and make decisions about who to shop with from there.
Laid off yesterday after being told for the past 4 weeks that there would be no layoffs... The lies I was told when I started were only compounded daily. If you didn't get at least 105% you were then called into the office and told that you were not working hard enough. Every lead and manager had their favorite that would get extra "chips" or "tokens". I was cheated out of incentives for months because of this. I had a medical excuse and all was fine for the first 3 months and then the final 6 weeks they took me from full time to part time. Then told it was because I was "unable to perform my job duties." Tell me how that is true when I had been performing them for the 3 months prior to that. The "Open Door Policy" is a bunch of BS. If you bring them an idea to help with production or efficiency that a manager didn't come up with they threaten your job and put a notice in your file and with HR. We are under paid and over worked. When COVID-19 first started out in the US our plant manager came out and said it was nothing. Stop listening to the news and just know it was being blown out of proportion. Then when a "partner" had to be quarantined they never told anyone. Instead we were told they were on vacation and we just needed to sanitize everything. We had 3 or 4 people in one area that were already "at risk" or were going home to small children and then told we couldn't just call in because we were scared. We had to be diagnosed. Hired for 1 position never ever did that position even though my title was for that position. Then forced to do a position that I was yelled at the first week because I had no clue what I was doing. Happy to be gone. The company is managed by people who are rude and at my old location it was only a Boy's Club. The only people on the floor were women, all but 1 SSR was male, all management except for HR were men, and only men were looked at for management. Good luck to anyone and everyone who is looking at working for this company... you will be lied to and told everything is going to be great and that you matter. Only to find out the "wizard behind the curtain" is just a little man who wants to feel powerful.
They have the worst management and kept those higher up id–ts and let go of their hard working “partners”. When the economy turns around I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work there. For a safety company they couldn’t even provide the correct PPE for front line employees. Don’t be fooled with the red carpet in the beginning it’s all bs.
Layoffs this week company wide - terrible what this company is doing for their so called partners
Cintas is a huge dump it's going down hill fast REAL FAST
