This is correct. Long term employees laid off. Across the USA. And they kept the ones, they liked.
Furlough to laid off. Many long term employees.
Essential employees..service techs. Copier division.
Laid offs across the US. It's not looking good.
Correct, they had a devious, cowardly, template plan administered by American management to wipe their hands of any responsibility. Make no mistake of this, it was planned very precisely by the parent company to cut fixed costs. Moving forward they will create new job titles then rehire at lower wages. The bloated management continue to get overpaid; protecting their minions while hiring indentured servants who have questionable credentials that can not be validated in the USA.
More than 40 employees fired yesterday at Hampton Roads, VA Canon. Many long term employees. No warning. One person had been there over 25 years. They were told their jobs were eliminated. So much for loyalty to the workplace. Very cowardly group conference call where they were muted and told they were “laid-off” but would not be returning due to elimination of positions.
Always was a mess.
Got to happen. Camera Sales plummeting.
