FYI it's spelled "Monterey" and the Monterey Cengage office is still up and running as of right now...I work there, I know. The McGraw Hill/CTB office in Monterey has been closed for a while. Yes, we're hearing rumors of our office closing, with keeping just a few remote staff.

@11ywRm39-6lep Do you know which “Layer” is being eliminated? Any guesses?

Monterrey has been closed for years. Troll post. That said, three Sr. Execs got canned yesterday, one layer of sales management is going to be eliminated completely, and the cuts to sales force (inside and out) and the supporting divisions are expected to total around 25% overall. This includes warehouse, sales/tech support, marketing, product development - you name it.

10-30% is a lot of people, no matter how you slice it. What about McGraw...?

I work at Cengage, we were told it would be less than 30% across the board and that some entire offices may close, Monterrey was mentioned specifically.

Their CEO announced a 10% across the board cut in headcount. He should fire himself.
