Was at the Phoenix (thunderbird & 31st ave) location yesterday. Parking lot had maybe twenty cars (noon on a Saturday). Probably about 30 customers and and as many employees. Complete aisles that are empty. I am not a smart man but I can see a store closing when it is this obvious. Thought maybe this was just this location but from all of the other posts, it appears the whole chain will be gone in a few weeks...

I was in the Burbank, CA store last Friday, and it _seems_ like there's a slight uptick in activity. When I entered the store, there was a big "help wanted" sign and there seemed to be more customers in the store. There were definitely more employees than the last time I was there a couple weeks ago.
On one isle, there were a couple employees unpacking a couple pallets of new stock to put on the shelves.
I asked one of them what was going on and got the stock answer about having merchandise for the holidays. I asked him "what about AFTER the holidays" and got no answer.
So either they're making a push for the holidays and plan on going out of business after that, or they are actually trying to make the business work in the long run.
I guess we'll know in a few months. I actually hope they can make it since it was one of my favorite places to meander on Sunday afternoons.
I was in there a month ago, they literally had 2 motherboards in the store. One of them was returned and missing the io shield. Zero graphics cards. A couple of (brand new, available everywhere including Best Buy) cpu's, but only 1 sku. Best RAM they had was Patriot and it has compatibility issues with certain motherboards.
That obvious sign of closing aside, i walked by a whole section of beauty products?! In an electronics store. The best part was the guy i was talking to didn't know a whole lot about BIOS flashing or RAM timings and told me it didn't really matter what i got, just that it was fast XD.
I've seen they don't own A LOT of their products, so I don't think we're gonna get a going out of business sale that's worth much to the every-man.
