Districts are realigning again...many market leaders are gone. Districts to only have 15 stores each. Store closing list to be released in the next few days. Good luck everyone

Can someone list the current assignments and geographic area?
Can someone list the current alignment and who is left to manage? As someone that left the company a year ago, I would be interested in seeing who is still around and the geographical store setup.
Sounds exciting
@11rhCWts-3ksh BS BS and more BS
Regions are not the same as districts, so no it does not follow that Kmart would only have 15 stores in this example. Regions are above districts. There will be only one “Kmart region” (unlike before, West, east, off shore, etc) and multiple districts under that region. Really not that hard to follow.
@31rc Thats not what was written. 1 REGION, but several markets. 15 stores per market. There could be 7 "markets" so this doesnt even mean any closings are guaranteed. I was hoping to get a bunch. Bummer.
The company is down to it's go forward store's and the plan is to go onward and upward. Plans are set to update and remodel the store's and a more updated refreshed look is coming. Some department's are shrinking but there will be new products added. A line of cafe's or snack bars are being added to enhance the shopping experience. There are A lot of new things coming.
@11rhCWts-3ekr So if Kmart is going to be only one region, that means they is going to be only 15 Kmarts left?
Sounds like some truth to the end game . Not all stores closing but perhaps more in November. How many markets left with 15 stores. California is one, any others....
I am able to confirm some parts of the info here. They did more redistricting, and in the flsmail that went out did mention that sears is two regions, and Kmart is one region. They also mentioned that each market will have ~15 stores each. And that all internal systems will be updated by 10/21 to show the new markets.
Eddie Lampert will be facing a class-action lawsuit. Sears Hometown investors are taking Lampert to court in regards to his acquiring Sears Hometown and the price of the shares. This case was filed in a Delaware Court on Wednesday.
This particular case has nothing to do with the Chapter 11 Sears Holdings bankruptcy.
The feds really need to launch a probe of Lampert's business dealings. Sears accuses Lampert of stealing assets to fund his personal businesses, and now we have Sears Hometown investors filing a complaint in court questioning his business practices.
Something is very wrong.
All districts are aligned now so it's go forward.
One region survived? Which dumb–s made the cut?
There is truth to this. Happened with my Kmart that they fired one DM, one is relocated and another one is taking over. Closures unsure but shifting going on is certain.
I'll believe it when I see it. Until then just rumors.
No closures this year!!! Closures are over for now. All are safe!!!!
Ya, and amazon is set to buy up the remaining stores to expand their physical store presence. Man, the type of sh– that is posted here is crazy.
No truth! Just causing panic again! Not happening!
What's the point...just end it already.
I can confirm the realignments but not that stores will close and 15 store limit. Store closures would be a safe assumption though based on history.
Yes it’s true
Our district manager FIRED after 33 years!
Plus loss prevention top manager fired!
Same old thing, different day.
Why even bother...just close them all.
Yes its true. Was on the conference call. Sears still has 2 regions and Kmart is now one 1 region across the US. Some Kmart market leaders were laid off.
Yes, sadly. If you’re in a territory or near a warehouse, then you’re in better shape. Otherwise, count on being shuttered.
thanks for the info. Seems like a logical step in the go forward liquidation plan
I’m in a closing store. I heard of a few layoffs
Yes, ! Very true, unfortunately.
Any truth in this?
