Kroger rival Amazon plans to open new chain of grocery stores around the country

Amazon plans to open dozens of stores across the country, starting with Los Angeles, Chicago and Philadelphia!

The stores would operate separately from Amazon-owned Whole Foods Market, according to the report. They wouldn’t compete with Whole Foods, which focuses on organic items. The new Amazon stores will likely feature plenty of prepared foods in addition to typical grocery items.

So The Year Is 2020. What Is KROGER’s Future? It Is A Scary Thought! Hope The Company Will Stand Strong!

Not Likely... This is just one part of the plan put together from the meeting with a firm that gave guidance to Kroger about how to improve performance and survive in the transition of customer shopping on-line. This is what the "kroger Restock Plan" is all about... This is only a phase just like selling the c stores, Turkey Hill, kma buyouts ect.. As stated in the analyst call, Kroger has many more areas to cut expenses... This is why the analyst could not see Kroger making the 400 mil. extra they were promising.. There is more to come...

Every other store? at Costco and Sams Club also charge membership fees.

You have to have a membership in amazon prime to get your discounts at Whole Foods as opposed to every other grocery store is just a free shoppers card.
