Makes me wonder what the brilliant executives did with the corporate tax cuts since 2017. Well they dumped 5 million into helping hands fund, nice gesture... then they rolled out their program to help associates with college... again nice gesture until you look at who is actually taking advantage of it... very few is the answer and they knew when they rolled it out it would look good on paper but cost very little... the rest went back to building their business... unlike many other corporations who gave small bonuses to their people... Kroger is a very greed driven organization... being run by people who have never been in the trenches or it’s been so long since they were they have forgotten. Not to mention this industry has changed dramatically in the past 15 years... the layoffs were inevitable... too much labor on non essential positions at division and district levels... and seriously how many Human Resources people does one company need?

It’s not about who or what is running stores. It’s about the union driving the company into the ground. Hourly employees don’t make enough to live on. AST store managers are worked to death. While corporate makes yet another worthless program. Get back to basics!
Exactly on the HR . Most of HR are also ASM which is all wrong abuse of power. They end up having front end managers do their paper work which takes away from the front end where we really need to stay focused on our customers they to need to be reduced as well .Way to many HR
