Quality is a Huge issue. Their forge press creates defects on bar surfaces, along with management speeding up processes of rolling at faircrest mill. Creating more defects on bar surfaces. Management ignores any mention of quality, matter of fact, they dont even communicate with production workers. Its definitely a sad, its like they are intentionally running the place into the ground.

TS has made some very bad choices when it comes to lower level management people decisions.

It's top heavy, very much top heavy, tons of vice presidents, executive titles, etc. It does not help TimkenSteel to have so many at the top - it's wasting money.

There are many of us who have been around for 10, 20 or more years - the company should listen to folks who spent their careers here.

We hire outsiders all the time, and 3 months into it, they cause damage. Like $50K of damage...

Now, we have to fire them, and what did we achieve.

We'd be better off listening to our employees in the first place - tons of experienced and smart people here at TimkenSteel.

But people are too busy to think about simple things about this - I know I hear a ton of things that happen on the floor, some things are rumors but many are not, they happen for real. Newbies drop balls all the time and experienced people are not listened to.
