Thread regarding Sears layoffs

break it down

So really, what does this all mean? It's about old Sears, but NEW Sears is struggling to secure new vendors. No transparency what so ever from DMs. Shadey business deals in some markets. Blowout event erroding our margin to make a quick buck. POGs not up dated which leaves us to question, what are real go forward merchandise looks like. No plan. Just panic. And yet still being held under a microscope to figure out why stores aren't performing. Being held accountable for uncontrollables. Ready to throw in the towel and call it a day.

The same person who ran Sears Holdings into the ground is the same man who will run Transformco into the ground. The problem is not Sears. The problem is Eddie Lampert who has no idea how to run a retail business. That explains why Transformco is having issues getting vendors. I don't blame vendors for not doing business with Lampert. I don't blame the vendors one bit.

The blowout sale is to get rid of old stuff and package changes. The prices were to drum up internet traffic by creating a buzz on slick deals, social media etc. That doesn’t address any other factors but that’s what it was for.
