Can the max fly safely without MCAS??????

Yes other aircraft in the fleet have the same tendency to nose up when power is added I believe that would be the 767. (I Am Not A Pilot)
Hence a type certificate for systems and flight characteristics

That said
A new type certificate for the MAX would delay the return to service by 6 months.
This would require new simulators and 6 months of training for the pilots.
To avoid this MCAS was dreamed up as a work around.
Train the pilots and let the pilots fly the aircraft.
You cannot substitute automation for training and skilled pilots.

It was all about the Benjamins and a rush to market

Take a look at the Airbus disaster, Air France Flight 447
Here the crew flew a perfectly good aircraft into the sea.
On an overseas flight the pilots typically got in eight minutes of flying time.

IMHO
The MAX is a phenomenal machine it far exceeds the NG.
To that point, the plane should have its own type certificate.
MCAS should be removed and seen for what it is, a mistake.

MCAS was a sales and marketing gimmick use to overtake Airbus.
The MCAS concept was also driven by outside forces primarily the customers.
Remember the Ford / Firestone debacle, Cost Cutting led to fatalities.

The customers demanded the LEAP engines.
They also wanted the new plane to be an NG in character.
Apparently Boeing’s sales force and our customers had replaced our engineers,
with the blessings of management.

Cut The Company Some Slack, but fire the management.
The board needs to be stripped of its political crony’s and replaced with individuals having practical multidiscipline backgrounds with a proven history of success in engineering and entrepreneur experience.
Muilenburg would seem to fit this profile.
But, did Muilenburg override our engineer’s safety concerns in favor of sales?
How much influence did the board have in these decisions?

Remember Muilenburg is not a king he does not operate in a vacuum.
Add to that, group think mixed with money and you have a recipe for disaster.
Whatever the case, people making such decisions do have criminal liability.

The MAX Will Fly Again.
But I also believe Boeing has now missed the sweet spot to take the lead in this class

Moving forward this means cutbacks, its business.

This is an opinion, a perception based on knowable facts at this time.

Max is done. Sorry to tell ya all. Mullinberg will be criminally held liable along with shareholders. Eu will not certify the death trap. The program will be sc-apped. The ones left in Renton will be pumping out p-8s till a clean sheet plane is developed. Turn out the lights.

The interesting thing is things have gone silent.

The FAA was supposed to get information in Sept, and by the end of Oct it would be approved.

I have not scene an article that the FAA has the information. You would think Boeing would tout that and say that it is now out of their hands. Last I saw the head of the FAA came out and flew the plane, but in the gand scheme of things that means nothing.

But sir i know nothing about finance and read a copious amount of terribly sourced articles combined with listening to my inside source in the union who previously told me we were 100% all getting laid off 5 months ago and....I think you are wrong. Everyone laid off and homeless by next Friday. If you disagree you're a shill. I'll bet my double wide on it.
