Double duty? We were there two layoffs ago. Quadruple at least now. We don't have enough people to do the work at HE just like in the stores.
Hometown acquisition is basically done. Of course there will be consolidation. There were two companies operating and now it will be one. With the shrunken footprint of the whole thing you won’t need all the people, the ones left will just have to do double duty.
I can’t confirm everything here, but I’ve heard from someone in shos that got fired today. Last day is 10/23. And I have no doubt that this is related to the transform/shos merger
I know an ex hometown district manager he said he couldn't handle the lying he was forced to tell the hometown owners about product availability and when it would be there forced on him.... basically he said they were just telling him to tell the hometown stores whatever it took to keep them from jumping ship, he left about a year ago
Yawn. I'll believe it when I see it. If I had A Penny for every one of these, well, u Know the rest. Let's see some stores close, then I'll believe something. SHOS isn't exactly mainline Sears or Kmart.
