Quit replacing humans with these self check out stands. We need human contact , it’s bad enough with all this technology people are t sociable anymore.. it’s a total shame, people need to work to provide for their families and elderly parents!!! Please think twice!!!

People are the reason we are open! A friendly and welcomed responds bring customers back! I loved seeing and speaking to the children! Many holidays I would dress-up for them and their parents. The best part of serving the customers were the big Smiles I received back from both parents and their children. Customer Services is the Number One Purpose for any business should be opened

The self-checkout decisions were made based on CUSTOMER DATA (of which we have a lot) that the time spent at checkout was the most frustrating part of shopping.

These layoffs are management. Not cashiers, departments, etc. Having worked for Kroger for 24 years I can assure you, we've got too many bosses. Maybe can get more actual workers instead, we're much cheaper!

Kroger does whatever Walmart does! They dont have to replicate walmart to be successful. The new kroger regime had ran the company in the ground.
