Thread regarding Kroger Co. layoffs

Feed the Human Spirit garbage

The program they got from D___ny was more than an uplift program. No one gets away with mistreating their employees more than they do. It's all about how to cut loose the most expensive employees and trying to coerce everyone else from quitting until they have no use for them either. And how much money was spent on that collaboration and how many bigwigs got wined and dined and more to buy into it. I keep Kroger stock only to vote against most of the Board of Directors and their initiatives. It doesn't do much good, but it makes me feel better.

I worked 18 years for the Cincinnati/Dayton division and left around 8 months ago....couldn’t be happier with the decision I made. Kroger is going downhill fast led by a bunch of corporate thugs who lie endlessly. I can’t believe that the mind set is management is the problem....it’s not!!!! I drank the kool aid for years with absolute blind loyalty, what I didn’t see was that corporate was making the store manager role insignificant with endless programs/process changes: Standards, process walks, etc. were designed to make the store manager role id–t proof so that they could get younger and cheaper.
If Kroger truly cared about reducing expenses then maybe they should eliminate all the useless positions at GO and the division office first. Also, why are the executives receiving raises and bonuses when they are eliminating positions.

17yrs with them and they treat us like garbage, we're the ones that made their bonuses possible and they strip us and our families from everything we've. Very similar to slum landlords. Beat us to c-ap and toss us like trash right when we feel things are looking up. I actually thought we meant something to this company and it was a great place to make a living but as your pay goes up, so does your chances of being cut from a job or career.
