Rumors of Building 65 closing. Only one year left on lease. Remaining folks will move into Building 61. Guess where that will go....

I think HP may very well move Boise and San Diego to Vancouver (certainly worse places.) However ...
The new site is many years away (if ever.) I suspect Boise and San Diego will close long before this site opens unless they pull up the dates. But with HP, anything could happen. The new site is far enough out they can see if they can stop the slide without committing anything in the short term.
Now news leaks new purpose built site being planned in Vancouver, WA. First, hp sold Vancouver site in 2009, rented half of it back then had to move to new leased space when they run out of room and found out facilities were not compliant with 3D R&D. Now they are building a whole new facility in Vancouver but sold Boise site to the city. Where is the long term plan in all of this? Is SD owned or leased? Is anyone on ELT at hp looking beyond the next quarter and their own PFR bonus?
Off shore from the US would always be my first guess. .
Singapore is brand new. Considerable investment made in bringing facilities on-line (still being brought up on-line). We have engineers from Singapore visiting San Diego quite frequently (Knowledge Transfer). 'Falcon line' and 'Pen Characterization' have frequent visitors from Sing. Running PC and FAL in Singapore. Only a matter of time. Web Press area has rumors that line will be brought to 'Corvallis'. Web Press will not fit in B61. It will have to be moved off-site if B65 closes. Attorney and HR located in B61U will be moved or Early retirement. Creates space for tenants from B65. Too ominous. Doesn't look good. Morale is very low. Site council retiring next year. Person replacing site council is from and located in Corvallis.
How about Singapore? They have a sizable team
Not sure about Houston, but Boise will be shuttered by 2022. ULE will all be Shanghai, all A3 and Page Wide will be Suwon, and A4 will be merged with Xerox in some location tbd. But not in Boise.
Vancouver beats Boise or Houston for sure.
Don't know anything about Boise. Vancouver looks better longterm. Alot of HP folks have relocated to Vancouver.
Vancouver!? Boise?
