Not sure where this information is coming from but I work in staples retail and the forecast is strong. Lots of investing going on. Big things to come in for Retail. New Brand Defining Stores. New POS system. Replacing all IT hardware in all stores. Network upgrades. There is a ton of positivity for Retail at the home office

The next big day for Staples will be the day right before the biggest blizzard of the season . Sales records will be set as customers rush in to get their ink jet cartridges. They will skip going to the market for Milk , eggs and fabric softener. They would rather starve than not be able to print their next project . It’s that important !

Some states have closing notification laws. Usually 90 days. So if you assume late January closing announcements should be around Oct 20th. Look at profitability of less than 100k and also lease end dates. That info should tell you all you need to know.

Nov 29, the chosen stores will commence their "going out of business" sales, by the end of yhe year SP will have around 500 stores to milk
