So who is suppose to be getting phone calls..
I have dealt with Fry's a lot and the story seems to repeat itself.
The Directors seem to stay up in their offices..except for daily store walks with their forms and their 9:30 team huddles..
While the assistants work their asses off..
With the walk forms and lists from SD..
Maybe they should even out the work load..high paid and high bonuses folk start working ..not hiding...
This may broaden the playing field for what is fair..

Kroger has repeatedly not learned from their extensive history. Micro managing ..... clip boards hold all the latest analysis that the technology can produce. No doubt some of it is worthy of their time but much of it is a waste of time. Example of micro managing.... scheduled times to walk departments.... really? You think the grocery manager is ready at 830 after a load and one call out?
Nobody is allowed to think for themselves anymore. I have to follow the display plan because it's mandatory..... well what if I can't sell an item regardless of price? Don't I bring it in just to see it go to the back in 7 days? Of course not. But those are just some of the decisions we aren't allowed to make anymore.
Management is told they need to stay on task and can not deviate from it ( the clip board) or they will be in trouble. That is why they can’t help, the upper management... the DM or Corprate ways tell them what they are excited to do. Take it from someone who knows, they want nothing more to be on the front lines helping customers but are threaten if they don’t do what they are told they will be in big trouble.
The Frys store I shop at in Arizona has many salaried managers walking around with non- important most of the time, paper work from corporate they claim. I observe when shopping there, they don't help the struggling departments and front end people who haven't been scheduled enough labor to make the customer service where it should be. They walk past the lines as I bag my own order with no baggers, especially on senior's day. Then, past departments I waited in the lines for way too long. To many chiefs and not enough low paid workers!
