E Commerce safe?

Any word on salaried Employee Commerce?????

I have not heard of any e-commerce layoffs, and actually it was just launched at my store at the end of September. E-commerce is the way the company is going to compete better with online retailers, but let’s be honest, if you are non-union, you could still be on the chopping block.

If you are non-union, you are at risk. They are pinching pennies right now when it comes to Human Resources cost - anyone with a salary is on the chopping block.

I'd say eComm is more safe than others, but then - who knows.

e stands for electronic commerce not employee...but i hear they arent getting rid of ecommerce (which doesnt make much since to me since its the only salaried manager position that basically acts like a glorified lead already so i assume they will combine ecommerce with other management roles like hr and front end operations
