Heard layoffs are not over and each area is still being looked at no matter what segment or function or team or UHC or Optum. If your area has not been hit yet then it likely it will be before end of the month and year

If you are in technology, look outside of UHG and Optum. They have made the commitment to outsource your job. Look no further than the participants on your dev or ops calls or what our "leaders" have brazenly said they would do. It's either H1B or OGS. If you make it through this layoff, what about the next?

Don't be complacent. Don't be lazy and don't feel UHG or Optum is your life long job. Your life doesn't begin or end here. Find a better place before they dump you. They don't care about you or your family. Your situation is meaningless to management. Do what is best for you!

Our company was acquired by UnitedHealthcare a couple of years ago. 14 of us were laid off on Wednesday we were told that it had something to do with budget. However within a few hours after we were gone the people that remained had told us that UHC opened up 14 positions

Management has confirmed there are two more waves not the end people just the beginning. I'm already starting to look for different things just as a precaution.

Thank God I have a Sheriff’s Department job I can fall back on. As a supervisor, there was last second notices to this happening. Just to be prepared for hard discussions.

Do not believe that is the end. My coworker asked her boss if she should be concerned for her job after losing her teammates. The boss actually acknowledged there were two more waves coming of lay offs.

Layoffs in October, November and first quarter of next year. The number will total in the 1000s. This is company wide.

As was said on other threads it seems like they will be doing it in waves to avoid breaking any federal regulations. Next phase is in November and then January or March is what I’ve seen.

We were told by management this morning that this is the end of the layoffs. Do I believe him? I don't know what to believe at this point. UHC brings in 10s of billions a year in profit and should be ashamed of themselves on how they treat their employees.
