General Electric CEO Larry Culp just celebrated his first anniversary at the helm of the iconic American manufacturer. At the time, his hiring was a surprise if for no other reason than Culp is the first outside CEO hired by the 127 year old business that traces its roots back to Thomas Edison. His stellar reputation, earned leading Danaher , brought investors hope to a business badly in need of triage.
A year in, however, he may ask himself what he got into. There has been no shortage of drama at General Electric (ticker: GE) over the past 12 months. Stock volatility, negative Wall Street research and exogenous events such as the world-wide grounding of the Boeing (BA) 737 MAX fleet have pounded shares. (GE supplies all the engines for the MAX.)

Culp is doing an excellent job of clearing up Immelts mess. A mess Immelt took 17 years to create, His methodical approach replaces Immelts kneejerk reaction. Power, Capital etc is Immelts mess not Culps.

Culp is painfully slow. Has wrong people in leadership positions.

If there were orders on the books, the stock wouldn't keep sliding further into the toilet. Schnectady is calling everyone back so they can see how many people will actually come back, then they'll start chopping heads. A few orders in Renewables can't save power at this point, but it's a good thing they brought Rice back to help!

More layoffs I do not see in here that Schenectady has a ton of work coming like the rumors I have been hearing. I see a lot more reductions coming here.
