I’m in the Delta... Anyhow, just heard that our store manager got an invite - going to the division office for a meeting tomorrow. He said that he'll likely be let go - we'll see what happens but things are pretty bad for store managers, I heard that they are being let go left and right - not good....

"i am in ATL and my mgr got cut even though he was knocking it out of the park..." That is puzzling.. Are you sure she was "knocking it out of the part"? Hitting all her marks?? Any other reason you know of she would have been let go?
Being called in doesn't mean being let go - I know this for a fact. There is a combination of factors I believe they are looking at.
not sure about that 'poor performers are being let go' that @1jqj is talking about...

not sure what to believe any more
MIDA is absolutely gutted. People who didn't deserve it got the boot while some who deserve it more than ever stay.
From what I've heard they are letting go of the managers that can't make goals and are doing poorly. I heard my old store manager was let go and honestly it should've happened way before it did. The whole store was miserable and we were all treated like c-ap. I don't like to see anyone lose a job but if you aren't performing well then get someone in who can. I feel like a lot of DM need to go as well and not just store managers.
central here as well and i'm waiting to see who's removed, so many useless people ASM and above anymore it needed to happen. I mean i hate to see people lose their job but it was coming.
It's business, so that's how it works. This didn't happen because everyone was making tons of money. When the goal is the bottom line and people aren't making it, stuff changes.
Company restructuring is needed, everyone is doing it - companies evolve and change is hard.
My store manager has been with the company for 30+ years and he said this is probably the 8th or 9th time they have done this...
Just never normally on a company wide scale.
I'm 10+ years in, and really, this is probably the 4th restructuring of central that I can remember.
I will just continue to focus and work - have a decent work ethic and I bring home a good pay check every week.
When you move up in a company, you have to know that sometimes you get screwed.
That's also why I try to work hard.
My management team treats me well - I hope they all survive this, because they make a difference at our store and it's shown since they became a team.
Front-end coordinators love breathing down your neck...
oh, "we are just making sure everything is going well"...
If you need any real help they will never help you...
My store leader is puzzled as much as we all are…
Questions, questions…
There is a very puzzling and ambiguous email that store leaders got – that’s it.
She noted that we (grunts/workers) should be fine. But then, they always start at the top, this may impact folks at the bottom too…
I think they need to fire many folks in the district – our district staff is just bad….
Same here in Mid-Atlantic - tada... One of my store managers is having her meeting right now.
