Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Northbelt House Cleaning Continues with WPS

Director of Wireline Technology is running "What If Scenarios" to reduce labor rates by a reduction in force (RIF), of senior scientists, engineering staff, and project managers. Quote dump the old guys and take on cheaper new meet. We as Halliburton, are in trouble and on the downward spiral if cost reduction is made on the premise of dumping experience to get cheapest rates. No value on experience, discipline knowledge, quick time to market, and quality of products. Great way to set this group(s) back in strength and further behind our competition, in our customers eyes, and the market place. Here we go again. Extremely poor management after this years Q1-2019 layoff has left the group in worse shape... when will the executive management notice and rectify the hurtful folly of this director.

Well no matter, clients don't appreciate experience or expertise either. Now that they're staffed up with appropriately diverse millennials who are experts in everything, there's no need to hang on to experienced staff. All the younger generation does is argue that proven science is wrong, and everything that is true can be gleaned from statistics.

To bad she approved adding so many new employees after the March layoff, just to six months later lay them off

Hal has made it glaringly apparent that they do not value experience and/or expertise. You'd be hard pressed to make a lifelong career with the company with the sorry management we have.

It is imperative that we keep our strongest PSl’s , companies, or divisions strong. Even and god forbid that we must DESTROY our other divisions, psl’s and or companies regardless even if they are stronger and more technical.

In other words it’s business as usual.
